The story behind the work
I partly grew up between Sweden and France, spending much of my childhood with my grandfather in France - this is where I learnt everything about good food, an appreciation for vintage and antiques, art and of course - how to haggle on the local market.
Spending our time between Paris and a small rural village outside Fontainebleau my time in France has shaped the core of who I am - both as a person and in my practice. Combine this with the almost religious relationship that we in the nordics have with nature and you have the two worlds that sum up the focus in my work.
Starting out with a high school diploma in art and design from Sweden, an education as a pastry chef in Paris and an MBA from the UK - my work moves freely between creative strategy, art and spatial concepts.
Alongside commissioned work, I have developed my own design projects, renovated four houses, and worked with interior styling for realtors ahead of property photography and viewings.
In its contradiction, completing an MBA during the pandemic marked the clear beginning of a broader redirection of my practice - a shift that had started slowly but was now becoming clear, with a growing focus on vintage and antique curation, design and my own art.
Now, I’m living in the Swedish forest outside of Stockholm where I’m renovating my 4th house with heritage methods while I’m building my dream studio in a 100-year old barn.
